Family Relief Fund is a non-profit corporation that assist families that have children with Cystic Fibrosis and other severe Illness'.

As we all know, it is very important for a child to have a parent with them while in an out-of-town or an out-of-state Medical Facility.

This would be impossible for most families without the help from concerned and good hearted people like you. Without a parent, being away from home, is a very frightening experience for any child. Children need a parent to comfort them during these difficult times. They need that special hug from a parent, to hold mommy's hand, or for dad to answer their frightened call. The child may ask, while laying there looking up at mommy, mommy am I going to be alright. With tears in her eyes, she answers, baby, you will be alright. Do you realize the comfort a child gets from hearing those words from his mother?

Most families will go deeply into debt just to be there for their children. This does not have to happen, because Family Relief Fund provides the needed funds, which is donated by concerned people to help these families keep from adding to their present, painful, emotional, financial situation.

The families of these severely ill children, may have insurance or other medical subsidy, but many do not have the money to travel, lodge, or provide meals for themselves while taking their children to a out of town or out of state Medical Facility, such as, a hospital, transplant center, rehabilitation therapy, doctor's office, plus other unexpected expenses that occur during these difficult times.

Something for ALL of US to really THINK about.
We never know when someone in our own family or a close friend, unexpectedly, may need this kind of financial support. As we all know, life is so uncertain.

We know most of you are good hearted people and are ready, willing and able to open your hearts and donate to the many families who are really having a special financial need like this.

Why is it important for a parent to be with their child?

Imagine yourself as a young and very frightened child…

You are separated from all familiar surroundings. You are in an out-of-town/state medical facility or perhaps a transplant center room. You are all alone. You are far, far away from home and the people you love and trust. No one enters your room, except strangers in hospital attire, and you feel very sick. You call your parent's name and they aren't there to comfort you. They can't afford the costs of traveling and living expenses so that they can join you in the city where you are receiving medical treatment(s).


Now, imagine yourself as being the parent of this horrified child…

You cannot be with your severely ill child when they need you the most. You cannot financially afford to pay for your living expenses so that you may join your child. You cannot wipe away the tears of your child. You can however, hear your child's cries but you are miles and miles away from them. You feel overwhelmed and helpless because you think that no one can help you. You ache to be with your sick and frightened child.


You have only imagined these scenarios.


Reality: Families are living these scenarios every day.
